About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and people-focused HR Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day human resources functions of our organization. The HR Manager will serve as a trusted resource for employees and management while helping ensure that our company maintains a positive, productive, and professional workplace.
This position will be responsible for employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, policies and procedures, and other HR-related functions. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, knowledgeable about employment practices, and able to balance the needs of employees with the goals of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day HR operations and provide guidance to employees and managers.
- Lead the recruiting and hiring process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, background checks, and hiring recommendations.
- Develop and manage effective employee onboarding and orientation programs.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel records.
- Administer employee benefits, including enrollment, changes, and employee questions.
- Manage employee relations issues and assist with conflict resolution and disciplinary matters.
- Support managers with performance evaluations, coaching, corrective action, and employee development.
- Develop, implement, and maintain company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain required HR documentation, records, and reports.
- Partner with management on workforce planning, staffing needs, and organizational development.
- Monitor employee attendance, leave, and other employment-related matters.
- Assist with payroll-related HR information and employee questions as needed.
- Coordinate employee training and professional development programs.
- Help promote a positive company culture and employee engagement.
- Stay current on changes in employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is preferred.
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, with management-level experience preferred.
- Willingness to travel to other locations quarterly.
- Strong knowledge of employment practices, employee relations, recruiting, and HR administration.
- Experience with HRIS, payroll, benefits, and other HR systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with management and employees.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard HR technology.
