Hernandez & Associates, P.C. seeks a hands-on HR Manager to own day-to-day people operations for a fast-paced law firm. You’ll guide employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, and performance management, with room to grow into a strategic partner to leadership.

In this Denver-based role, you’ll partner with managers, handle investigations, policy administration, and training, while ensuring Colorado and federal employment law compliance; bilingual a plus, PHR/SPHR a plus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive HR experience including employee relations.
• Strong knowledge of Colorado and federal employment law.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and confidentiality.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Hernandez & Associates, P.C. is seeking a hands-on HR Manager to own day-to-day people operations for a fast-paced, client-focused law firm. You’ll guide employee relations, recruiting, compliance, onboarding, and performance management, with room to grow into a broader strategic partner to leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Serve as the primary HR resource and trusted liaison for employees, managers, and firm leadership.
• Handle employee relations, investigations, conflict resolution, corrective action, accommodations, and separations with discretion.
• Advise and coach managers on performance, accountability, and employee development.
• Manage HR policies, records, and compliance with federal and Colorado employment requirements.
• Coordinate recruiting, structured selection, onboarding, retention, and offboarding for attorney and staff roles.
• Use employee feedback and HR data to improve people practices and support a respectful, culturally responsive workplace.

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including substantial employee relations responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of Colorado and federal employment law; sound independent judgment and confidentiality.
• Ability to navigate sensitive situations and competing priorities in a busy, client-centered environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related field, or equivalent education and progressive experience.

Preferred: Bilingual English/Spanish; experience as the primary HR resource in a smaller organization; law firm or professional-services background; PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.
