Job summary

PACCAR, the parent company of Peterbilt Motors, is seeking a Human Resources Intern in Denton, Texas. You will gain real-world HR experience by partnering with professionals across multiple HR functions and supporting key business initiatives.

You will participate in recruiting and generalist activities, develop HRIS literacy, and contribute to continuous improvement projects that enhance HR processes. This internship offers exposure to a wide range of HR tasks and benefits.

• Enrolled in a Human Resources, Business, or related undergraduate/graduate program

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interview schedules and communicate with candidates and hiring managers
• Support posting of job openings and management of applications; maintain ATS records
• Assist with sourcing and screening candidates via job boards, LinkedIn and other platforms
• Contribute to HR projects, reporting and administrative tasks
• Identify, propose and implement continuous improvement projects to optimize HR processes
• Gain proficiency in HRIS systems, reporting, data management and basic workforce analytics
• Support auditing efforts to ensure HR data accuracy and currency
• Collaborate with HR team members to support business goals

Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Intern to join our team in Denton, Texas.

As a Human Resources Intern, you will gain valuable, real-world HR experience while partnering with professionals across multiple HR functions and supporting key business initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

Recruiting Functions and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate interview schedules and communicate with candidates and hiring managers
• Support the recruitment team with posting job openings and managing applications
• Maintain accurate candidate records and update the applicant tracking system (ATS)
• Assist with sourcing and screening candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, and other recruiting platforms
• Help create a positive candidate experience through timely follow-up and communication
• Assist with general recruiting projects, reporting, and administrative tasks as needed
• Identify, propose, and implement continuous improvement projects to optimize HR processes.

Generalist Functions and Responsibilities:

• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects.
• Gain proficiency in HRIS systems, reporting, data management, and basic workforce analytics.
• Support auditing efforts to ensure HR data is accurate and up to date.
• Learn how to handle routine employee questions and workplace concerns.
• Partner with various HR team members to gain an understanding of how the department works as a team to support business goals.

Required Qualifications

The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in a Human Resources, Business, or a related undergraduate or graduate program
