Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR brand, invites you to join as a Human Resources Intern in Denton, Texas. You will gain real-world HR experience while partnering with professionals across multiple HR functions and supporting key business initiatives.

The internship runs from November 2026 through September 2027. You’ll contribute to recruiting activities, HRIS data management, reporting, and continuous improvement projects, developing essential skills in a global manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Human Resources, Business, or related undergraduate or graduate program.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Able to multitask and manage competing priorities.
• Self-starter and resourceful with a proactive attitude.
• Professionalism in all interactions and work deliverables.
• Analytical mindset with interest in collecting, analyzing, and reporting data.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate interview schedules and communicate with candidates and hiring managers.
• Support posting job openings and managing applications.
• Maintain candidate records and update ATS.
• Assist with sourcing and screening candidates via job boards and LinkedIn.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects to optimize HR processes.
• Assist with general recruiting projects, reporting, and administrative tasks.
• Gain proficiency in HRIS, reporting, data management, and basic analytics.

Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Intern to join our team in Denton, Texas.

As a Human Resources Intern, you will gain valuable, real-world HR experience while partnering with professionals across multiple HR functions and supporting key business initiatives.

This internship is scheduled to run from November 2026 through September 2027.

Job Responsibilities

Recruiting Functions and Responsibilities

• Coordinate interview schedules and communicate with candidates and hiring managers
• Support the recruitment team with posting job openings and managing applications
• Maintain accurate candidate records and update the applicant tracking system (ATS)
• Assist with sourcing and screening candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, and other recruiting platforms
• Help create a positive candidate experience through timely follow-up and communication
• Assist with general recruiting projects, reporting, and administrative tasks as needed
• Identify, propose, and implement continuous improvement projects to optimize HR processes.

Generalist Functions And Responsibilities

• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects.
• Gain proficiency in HRIS systems, reporting, data management, and basic workforce analytics.
• Support auditing efforts to ensure HR data is accurate and up to date.
• Learn how to handle routine employee questions and workplace concerns.
• Partner with various HR team members to gain an understanding of how the department works as a team to support business goals.

Required Qualifications

The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in a Human Resources, Business, or a related undergraduate or graduate program
