Job summary

PACCAR's Peterbilt Motors Company in Denton, Texas invites a Summer Internship in Truck Systems & Software Support. You will shadow engineers, analyze truck system data, and help develop dashboards and reports to improve fleet performance.

Current students in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering will gain hands-on experience across data collection, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration on real-world projects within a global tech leader.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering or related program.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Shadow and assist team members in monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting truck fleet management systems and software platforms.
• Gather and consolidate operational data from various truck systems, databases, and reports for analysis.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Assist in creating spreadsheets, dashboards, and automated reporting tools to streamline team workflows.
• Evaluate current team processes and recommend data-driven solutions to enhance productivity.
• Help document software features, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices used by the Truck Systems & Software Support team.
• Work with other departments to understand how truck systems impact broader business operations.
• Support the team with special projects and assignments as assigned by management.

Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has aninternship for students currently enrolled in college. This opening is for a Truck Systems & Software Support Internto add to our Resident Engineering team in Denton, Texas.

Job Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

The candidate we seek will be currently enrolled in an Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Engineering or a related program.
