Job description

We are seeking an engaged, highly autonomous Human Resources Generalist to serve as a key partner across multiple operational departments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the VP of HR, you will play an integral role in both the daily execution and long-term strategic initiatives of our HR function.

This is a true generalist position for a proactive HR professional who thrives on independence, direct problem-solving with department managers and supervisors, and driving impact across the entire employee lifecycle—from hiring and onboarding to leave administration and policy enforcement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Manage full-cycle recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding processes to seamlessly integrate top talent into manufacturing operations.
  • Strategic & Operational HR Support: Partner directly with Department Managers and Supervisors to resolve day-to-day workforce challenges and execute short- and long-term HR work plans.
  • Employee Relations & Policy: Enforce company policies and practices, promote corporate initiatives, and maintain a positive, compliant workplace environment.
  • Benefits & Leave Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, manage leave of absence requests, and support employee inquiries with exceptional service.
  • Multi-Site Engagement: Travel locally (up to 25%) to support multiple manufacturing facilities and build strong relationships across teams.
  • (Note: This role focuses on core HR strategy and talent execution and does not manage payroll processing.)
Qualifications & Experience
  • Manufacturing Focus: Minimum 3 to 5+ years of dedicated HR experience, with required direct experience operating within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • HR Generalist Expertise: Demonstrated ability to independently oversee and execute all foundational HR functions across distinct departments.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (equivalent practical manufacturing HR experience will be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Technical Skills: Experience utilizing HRIS systems, ERP platforms, and integrated software solutions. Hands-on experience with Paycom is a strong plus.
  • Certifications: SHRM-CP or PHR certification is preferred.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% locally between regional manufacturing sites.
