Job summary

TalenTier is seeking an HR Generalist to partner with our operations team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will manage recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and compliance to keep the plant running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have 3-5 years of HR experience, a CA employment-law working knowledge, and comfort working on-site in PPE. You will collaborate with leadership on performance reviews, training, and recognition to enhance the employee experience from hire to retire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years HR experience, ideally in manufacturing or food & beverage.
• Working knowledge of California employment law.
• Experience with an HRIS/payroll platform (Paycom a plus).
• Strong communication and ability to keep sensitive matters confidential.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried roles, from posting through offer.
• Own new hire onboarding and offboarding, including I-9s, orientation, and exit interviews.
• Be the go-to resource for employees and supervisors on policies, coaching, and conflict resolution.
• Administer benefits, leaves of absence (FMLA/CFRA), and workers' comp claims.
• Support payroll accuracy, HRIS data, and timecard/PTO reviews.
• Keep the company audit-ready on I-9, OSHA, wage & hour, and EEO compliance.
• Partner with leadership on performance reviews, training, and employee recognition.
