The ideal candidate will have experience supporting manufacturing or industrial environments and be comfortable working directly with plant leadership and employees. This position requires strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices, along with the ability to navigate complex employee situations, changing priorities, and a multi-level decision-making environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day HR guidance to employees and managers across multiple manufacturing locations, balancing operational needs with long-term HR strategies.
  • Manage and support employee relations matters, including investigations, workplace concerns, performance issues, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
  • Handle a consistent volume of employee relations cases while escalating sensitive or complex matters appropriately.
  • Advise managers on the consistent application of company policies, employment practices, and performance management processes.
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and wellness offerings.
  • Serve as a primary resource for employee benefit questions, resolving issues related to claims, eligibility, plan changes, and enrollment.
  • Support annual open enrollment activities, including employee communications, system updates, vendor coordination, and data validation.
  • Reconcile benefit enrollment information within HRIS/payroll systems and communicate accurate eligibility data to benefit vendors.
  • Coordinate collection of benefit premiums and deductions for employees on extended leaves of absence.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support recruiting initiatives, staffing needs, candidate processes, and workforce planning.
  • Respond to HR-related questions from applicants and employees regarding policies, benefits, hiring procedures, and employment practices.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records within HRIS and personnel files.
  • Prepare HR reports, analyze workforce information, and provide data-driven insights to leadership.
  • Participate in internal and external compliance audits, including benefits, retirement plans, employment eligibility, social responsibility, OSHA, and other regulatory reviews.
  • Monitor HR compliance requirements across federal, state, and local jurisdictions and assist with implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensure required workplace postings and compliance materials are maintained and routinely audited across plant locations.
  • Partner with leadership on HR projects, process improvements, and organizational initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • Experience supporting an organization with approximately 1,000+ employees preferred.
  • Fluent Spanish proficiency required, both written and verbal.
  • Manufacturing, production, industrial, or plant-based HR experience required.
  • Strong employee relations experience, including investigations, conflict resolution, performance management, and policy interpretation.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in both a hands-on HR capacity and a strategic advisory role.
  • Experience administering or supporting employee benefits programs.
  • Experience partnering with Talent Acquisition and supporting recruiting initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication, organization, judgment, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees and leaders at all organizational levels.
  • Opportunity to take on a highly visible HR role within a growing manufacturing organization.
  • Significant exposure to employee relations, talent acquisition, benefits, compliance, and plant operations.
  • Opportunity to partner directly with plant and senior leadership.
