LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior HR Generalist to join our clients’ team in Chicago. This is a hands-on HR role that partners with leadership to drive initiatives that support business growth and improve people performance.

You will lead HR operations, administer benefits programs, mentor staff, and help with recruiting, onboarding, and workforce planning. The ideal candidate has 5+ years HR experience, a strong benefits background, and excellent communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted HR partner to leadership and employees.
• Lead day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, compliance, and policy administration.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, employee education, vendor coordination, and issue resolution.
• Support performance management, employee engagement, and retention initiatives.
• Provide coaching and guidance to managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Supervise and develop HR team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and workforce planning efforts as needed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative HR solutions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and extensive HR experience will be considered.
• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience required.
• Experience managing direct reports strongly preferred.
• Strong benefits administration background required.
• Thorough knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
