Job summary

Asbury in Peoria, AZ is seeking an onsite Human Resources Generalist to support managers and corporate leaders on sensitive HR matters and ongoing people programs. The role includes employee relations, investigations, onboarding, and orientation.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in HR and 3 years of HR generalist experience, with strong knowledge of labor laws and excellent communication skills to guide managers and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
• 3 years of HR generalist experience or equivalent.
• Employee relations experience is a must.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal compliance and HR practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Resolve employee relations issues and administer progressive discipline and performance improvement plans.
• Advise managers on team member concerns to align with policies and labor laws.
• Provide HR guidance across programs, policies, and performance issues.
• Respond to corporate requests in a timely manner.
• Conduct and document complex workplace investigations with interviews.
• Analyze investigation notes to form conclusions and action plans.
• Prepare reports and summaries of findings for management.
• Manage candidate dispositions across pre-employment and onboarding.
• Facilitate New Staff Orientation for corporate staff.
• Process terminations and report findings to recommend next actions.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Represent the organization in unemployment proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Help resolve employee relations issues and administer progressive discipline and performance improvement plans, including monitoring progress
• Advise team members and managers on team member concerns to ensure alignment with company policies and labor laws
• Provide HR guidance, counsel, and interpretation to managers and team members across HR programs, policies, and performance-related issues
• Respond to requests from corporate leaders and team members in a timely manner
• Conduct and document complex workplace investigations, including interviews with team members and managers
• Analyze investigation notes to form valid conclusions, recommendations, and action plans
• Prepare comprehensive reports and summaries of findings for management
• Manage candidate dispositions across pre-employment and onboarding to support a timely, smooth candidate and new hire experience
• Facilitate New Staff Orientation for corporate staff
• Process terminations, identify best practices for potential team member relations issues, report findings, and recommend next actions
• Ensure regulatory compliance with all employee-related federal and state requirements
• Represent the organization in unemployment proceedings
• Perform other related duties to support the organization’s mission/vision

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources preferred or related field required
• Experience: 3 years of human resources generalist experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must have: Employee relations experience
• Strong knowledge of compliance for state and federal regulations, plus familiarity with HR practices
• Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
