Job summary

LHH is seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Human Resources to lead the people function for a growing technology-focused organization with roughly 270 employees across the U.S. and Canada.

The role serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, driving talent development, succession planning, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and change management while guiding HR operations and technology.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading organizational change and transformation.
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership teams.
  • Expertise in succession planning, talent development and organizational development.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience supporting organizations of 200+ employees and with HRIS/analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all areas of HR, including employee relations, talent management, organizational development, compliance, performance management, and workforce planning.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
  • Drive HR transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee HR systems, reporting, compliance, and data integrity.
  • Mentor the HR team and coach executives; build partnerships across departments.

Compensation: $130,000 - $160,000 Base + Incentive

Reports To: Chief of Staff

About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic, hands-on Director of Human Resources to lead the people function for a growing technology-focused organization with approximately 270 employees across the U.S. and Canada.

This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership while driving key initiatives in talent development, succession planning, organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and change management. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who can influence stakeholders, navigate complex environments, and implement people strategies that support business growth.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
  • Lead all areas of HR, including employee relations, talent management, organizational development, compliance, performance management, and workforce planning.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
  • Drive HR transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Talent Development & Succession Planning
  • Develop and implement succession planning strategies and leadership development programs.
  • Create and manage Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and employee growth initiatives.
  • Enhance employee engagement, retention, and internal mobility programs.
Change Management
  • Lead organizational change efforts related to growth, transformation, technology adoption, and process improvements.
  • Partner with leaders to build alignment and drive adoption of strategic initiatives.
  • Support organizational effectiveness through communication and change management planning.
HR Operations & Technology
  • Oversee HR systems, reporting, compliance, and data integrity.
  • Partner with Finance and IT to improve HR analytics, reporting, and technology solutions.
  • Support HR modernization and process automation initiatives.
Leadership & Business Partnership
  • Lead and mentor the HR team.
  • Serve as a trusted coach and advisor to executives and department leaders.
  • Build strong partnerships across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Legal, and Product teams.
Qualifications
Required
  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading organizational change and transformation initiatives.
