Job summary

Pyramid Consulting Group, LLC is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead people strategy and HR operations for a fast-growing consumer retail brand in the Los Angeles area. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required.
  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including significant leadership experience within a complex or high-growth organization.
  • Mandarin speaking skills required
  • Certification such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to business leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, talent strategy, and employee experience initiatives.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Human Resources team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with leadership to align people strategies with business objectives and evolving organizational needs.
  • Provide guidance on complex employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant practices across the organization.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and help leaders navigate growth, transformation, and business evolution.
  • Drive employee engagement efforts and culture-building initiatives that strengthen retention, performance, and employee satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies that support transparency, alignment, and employee connection.
  • Partner with Human Resources Centers of Excellence to deliver integrated talent, compensation, learning, and workforce solutions.
  • Ensure Human Resources policies, programs, and practices remain compliant with applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Oversee key Human Resources operations and processes, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and service delivery.
  • Utilize workforce data and organizational insights to inform decision-making and recommend solutions that support business performance.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture while championing employee development and organizational effectiveness.

Our client, a global, fast-growing consumer retail brand, is seeking a Director, Human Resources to lead people strategy and Human Resources operations across a rapidly expanding business. This senior leadership role will partner closely with executive stakeholders to drive organizational effectiveness, support business growth, and build scalable people programs that enhance employee experience and performance. The Director, Human Resources will oversee a broad range of HR functions, including business partnership, employee relations, talent management, engagement, compliance, and organizational development. This position is based full-time onsite in the greater Los Angeles area.

What You'll Do

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required.
  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including significant leadership experience within a complex or high-growth organization.
  • Mandarin speaking skills required
  • Experience working with global organizations strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success developing and implementing people strategies that support business objectives and organizational growth.
  • Strong expertise in Human Resources Business Partnering, employee relations, talent management, organizational development, and workforce planning.
  • Deep knowledge of U.S. employment laws and Human Resources best practices.
  • Proven ability to influence and advise senior leaders on people, organizational, and business matters.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
  • Experience driving employee engagement, culture initiatives, and organizational effectiveness programs.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and effectively balance strategic and operational priorities.
  • Experience within consumer-facing, retail, hospitality, entertainment, lifestyle, or other high-growth industries.
  • Experience supporting geographically dispersed employee populations.
  • Background working within global or multinational organizations.
  • Experience scaling Human Resources functions during periods of rapid growth and transformation.
  • Professional Human Resources certification such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent.
Salary:

$180K - $220K + bonus

This role may also be eligible for additional compensation including incentive pay, discretionary bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package, details of which will be provided during the hiring process.
