HR Generalist (Recruitment, Leave of Absence & Benefits Administration)

About the Role
We are seeking a well-rounded HR Generalist to join our team and support a broad range of human resources functions, with a primary focus on full-cycle recruitment, leave of absence administration, and employee benefits. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys balancing strategic talent acquisition efforts with hands‑on employee support and HR operations.
The successful candidate will partner with leadership and employees across the organization to attract top talent, administer leave programs, manage benefits enrollment, and ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment
- Manage full‑cycle recruitment for exempt and non‑exempt positions
- Partner with hiring managers to develop recruiting strategies and identify talent needs
- Source, screen, interview, and coordinate candidate selection processes
- Create and post job advertisements across various platforms
- Facilitate offers, pre‑employment requirements, and onboarding activities
- Maintain applicant tracking systems and recruitment metrics
- Support employer branding and talent pipeline initiatives
Leave of Absence Administration
- Administer employee leave programs including FMLA, CFRA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, and other state and federal leave programs
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding leave requests and return‑to‑work processes
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation while maintaining confidentiality
- Partner with third‑party administrators and managers to coordinate leave cases
- Monitor compliance with applicable leave laws and company policies
Benefits Administration
- Manage benefits enrollment, changes, and employee communications
- Assist employees with benefit‑related questions and issue resolution
- Maintain accurate benefits records and HRIS data
- Partner with benefit providers and brokers to ensure smooth administration
- Support employee wellness and engagement initiatives
General HR Responsibilities
- Support employee relations matters and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures
- Maintain personnel records and ensure compliance with employment regulations
- Assist with performance management, onboarding, and offboarding processes
- Generate HR reports and maintain employee data accuracy
- Contribute to HR projects, process improvements, and compliance initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience in a generalist capacity
- Demonstrated experience with full‑cycle recruitment, leave administration, and benefits management
- Strong knowledge of federal and California employment laws, including FMLA, CFRA, ADA, and wage and hour regulations
- Experience working with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
- HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar) is a plus

Compensation: $75,000 to $90,000
Benefit offerings: include medical, dental, vision, additional voluntary benefits, 401K plan. Our program provides employees the flexibility to choose the type of coverage that meets their individual needs. Available paid leave may include Paid Sick Leave, where required by law; any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law; and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria.
