Job Title: Human Resources Coordinator

About the Role: Blue Grass Airport seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our dynamic HR team. This role will support various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll backup, and general HR operations. The ideal candidate is an organized and people-focused professional eager to contribute to the airport's mission and grow their HR career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the recruitment and hiring process, including posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and tracking candidates in the HRIS
  • Conduct new employee onboarding, benefits education, and system training
  • Reviewing timecards and completing payrolls as backup
  • Reconcile benefits billing with providers and the accounting department.
  • Administer FMLA, disability leave, and workers' compensation claims
  • Respond to unemployment inquiries and manage documentation
  • Maintain HRIS accuracy, generate reports, and assist employees with system use
  • Coordinate employee programs, human resource training, and service awards
  • Perform administrative tasks including I-9 verifications, records management, and compliance reporting

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of administrative experience, preferably in HR or recruiting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and HRIS systems (ADP preferred)
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling confidential information
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Must pass background checks and drug screening

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, on-site at Blue Grass Airport in Lexington, KY, with some flexibility
  • Occasional travel (up to 10%) within the state and region
  • May work extended hours during special projects or deadlines
  • Must maintain airport security clearance throughout employment
