Human Resources Coordinator

We are searching for an experienced Human Resources Coordinator at our Plant 15-El Reno-OK facility.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Human Resources Coordinator assists with the day-to-day operations of the HR department in all functional areas including recruitment, onboarding, payroll/compensation, benefits administration, leave management, performance management, separation/offboarding, metrics tracking, HRIS systems, and special projects as assigned.

  1. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to payroll, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  2. Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  3. Prepares weekly payroll with accuracy and confidentiality.
  4. Manages personnel documentation and HR bulletin boards.
  5. Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  6. Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  7. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  8. Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  9. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  10. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  11. Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  12. Makes photocopies; mails, scans, and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
  13. Prepares and maintains personnel files and ensures employee information is kept confidential.
  14. Processes mail.
  15. Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1+ years of experience in Human Resources, clerical, or customer service-related roles in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or similar area of study preferred.
