Job summary

Elderly Housing Development & Operations Corporation (EHDOC) is seeking a Community Manager to oversee HUD and LIHTC properties, ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a safe, well-maintained environment for residents.

You will manage leasing, maintenance coordination, staff supervision, budgeting, and reporting, with emphasis on resident relations and program compliance across HUD guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business admin, property management, or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in property management, specifically affordable housing, HUD, or LIHTC programs.
• Strong knowledge of HUD regulations, LIHTC compliance, and other affordable housing guidelines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with residents, staff, and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage budgets and reports.
• Proficient with property management software and office tools.
• Experience leading teams and providing staff training and supervision.
• Customer-service oriented with focus on tenant satisfaction.
• COS or HCCP/HCV-related certifications (COS, HCCP, or similar) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily property operations ensuring maintenance, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage leasing processes including screening, applications, leases, and move-ins/move-outs.
• Ensure HUD and LIHTC standards, including annual recertifications and inspections.
• Supervise maintenance staff or contractors and coordinate repairs.
• Oversee rent collections, budgeting, forecasts, and expense tracking.
