Job summary

NHE, Inc. is seeking a Community Manager to oversee fiscal accountability, marketing, regulatory compliance, and staff supervision for LIHTC or Section 8 communities.

The role reports to the Regional Property Manager or VP of Affordable Business Unit and requires coordinating with property owners and regulatory agencies. Responsibilities include move-ins, re-certifications, staff development, and ensuring adherence to HUD, LIHTC, and HOME regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or two years of successful working experience in the apartment management industry, including customer service and leasing/marketing.
• SC Property Manager's License or PMIC License is required.
• Experience with LIHTC/Section 42 and HUD programs is preferred.
• Knowledge of apartment management laws and regulations at multiple levels.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Handle move-ins/outs, certifications, and interims per HUD and NHE guidelines.
• Monitor regulatory compliance for LIHTC, HUD, HOME, HTF, and related programs.
• Oversee staff performance, training, and staffing decisions.
• Manage marketing, accounts receivable, collections, and leasing activities.
• Ensure safety and policy compliance across properties.
