Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Wind Technician for hub-based operations, requiring local travel to wind sites to maintain turbine performance and safety. The role involves daily work on electrical/mechanical systems, coordinated with site leadership to meet contractual obligations.

Responsibilities include maintenance, diagnostics, and warranty repair, with emphasis on safety and accurate reporting. Candidates should have wind tech experience or related certifications and be prepared for rotating

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year experience as a Wind Technician/Wind Mechanic or Wind Certificate Program/Associates Degree in Energy; or 2 years electrical work experience.
• Passes a Technical Knowledge Assessment.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain turbine operations, safety, quality control and warranty repair at wind sites.
• Work with site leadership to meet customer requirements and timelines.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems on turbines.
• Document work using service reporting procedures and coordinate with GE's remote operations center.
