Job summary

The State Auditor's Office Central Payroll Division seeks a Business Analyst familiar with the State of West Virginia payroll and HRM processes and the wvOASIS ERP system. The role supports payroll tax transactions, HRM/Financial applications, and upgrade activities, collaborating with the HRM 4x Administrator and Payroll staff.

The analyst will assist with testing, feature reviews, and communications, ensuring smooth operations of time/leave management and related systems across the division.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Comfortable with public speaking.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a group, in-person and virtually.
• Detail oriented.
• Knowledge of the statewide ERP system (wvOASIS).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) including pivot tables.
• Ability to learn SQL to support HRM, Payroll and Time/Leave data.

Responsibilities

• Provide support with review, testing, and implementation of system upgrades and issue tickets.
• Training end users in HRM and Reporting applications.
• Attend User Discussion Group calls related to HRM/Payroll.
• Provide training support for manual and automated system testing.
• Assist with preparation and maintenance of procedural manuals.
• Enter and update issue-related tickets in state and vendor ticketing systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
