Job summary

The State of West Virginia seeks a Human Resources Associate to perform professional HR operations across payroll, benefits, records, and employee relations within a state facility.

Under supervision, you will handle timekeeping, payroll accuracy, disciplinary actions, and leave management (FMLA, Workers’ Compensation) using Kronos, NeoGov, and OASIS, while driving full lifecycle recruitment and onboarding of new staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Substitution: 1 year of related HR/payroll experience for 30 semester hours of education.
• A valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee timekeeping and payroll accuracy for the facility.
• Prepare disciplinary and adverse action correspondence.
• Manage FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, and other leaves of absence.
• Drive full-lifecycle recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
