Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a collaborative and strategic Manager, HRIS to lead our Workday platform and a team of HRIS Specialists. You will shape how we leverage people technology, balancing day-to-day operations with long-term improvements to grow our systems and processes as the business scales.

This full-time role can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely across the United States, reporting into the People Technology organization.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in HRIS or People Technology, with deep expertise in Workday configuration across HCM, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Absence, and Integrations.
• Proven success leading and developing high‑performing HRIS or People Technology teams.
• Demonstrated ownership of Workday delivery, including configuration governance, project intake, prioritization, sprint planning, and release management within a SOX‑compliant environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of HRIS Specialists by building technical depth through cross-training, documentation, and shared ownership across Workday functional areas.
• Evolve the team's operating model, including project intake, prioritization, sprint planning, capacity planning, and release management.
• Manage work across internal HRIS team members and external implementation partners, balancing quality, speed, and cost.
• Provide governance and technical oversight for Workday configuration, while contributing hands‑on configuration for complex, high‑impact, or business‑critical initiatives.
• Partner closely with People, Payroll, IT, Finance, and other cross‑functional teams to understand business needs and deliver integrated solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate manual work, and increase operational efficiency across the systems ecosystem.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and features, including AI‑enabled capabilities, and recommend solutions that enhance the employee and people team experience.
• Contribute to the evolution of our broader technology ecosystem by ensuring Workday integrates effectively with the systems that support our Figmates
