Job summary

Figma is seeking a collaborative and strategic Manager, HRIS to lead our Workday platform and a team of HRIS Specialists. In this role, you'll shape how people technology supports the business, balancing day-to-day operations with long-term improvements that scale as we grow.

You will manage delivery across internal and external partners, establish intake and sprint processes, and oversee Workday configuration governance while contributing hands-on work on high-impact initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in HRIS or People Technology with deep Workday configuration across HCM, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Absence, and Integrations.
• Proven success leading and developing high-performing HRIS or People Technology teams.
• Demonstrated ownership of Workday delivery, including governance, intake, prioritization, sprint planning, and release management within a SOX-compliant environment.
• Strong track record managing work across internal teams and external implementation partners to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
• Deep understanding of the broader People Technology ecosystem and how Workday integrates with enterprise systems, plus curiosity about emerging technologies and AI.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of HRIS Specialists by building technical depth through cross-training and shared ownership across Workday areas.
• Evolve the operating model with project intake, prioritization, sprint planning, capacity planning, and release management.
• Manage work across internal HRIS team members and external implementation partners balancing quality, speed, and cost.
• Provide governance and technical oversight for Workday configuration, while contributing hands-on configuration for complex initiatives.
• Partner with People, Payroll, IT, Finance, and other teams to deliver integrated Workday solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate manual work, and increase efficiency across the systems ecosystem.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and AI features and recommend solutions that enhance the employee experience.
• Ensure Workday integrates effectively with other systems supporting Figmates.
