Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Engineering Leader to own platform strategy and delivery across multi-cloud environments. You will lead internal platforms, DevOps, and developer experience, guiding AI/ML integration and security practices through the software lifecycle.

The Lead Director will build a high-performing organization, mentor teams, manage budgets, and partner with Architecture, Product, and PMO to drive outcomes in a fast-paced HR Technology space.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading large software engineering programs with stakeholder management and KPI reporting.
• 8+ years leading teams in a matrix organization.
• 4+ years partnering with architecture, product and PMO to influence development.
• 4+ years leading discovery sessions, workshops, and enablement activities.
• 2+ years in a leadership role coordinating across cross-functional teams.
• 2+ years influencing stakeholders and managing vendor/budget relationships.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive Platform strategy and delivery with Architecture and AppDev teams.
• Build and scale internal platforms, golden paths, and self-service tools.
• Lead CI/CD, IaC, GitOps, and DevSecOps to embed security and observability.
• Partner with product, architecture, and stakeholders to design scalable solutions.
• Mentor cross-functional teams and manage cloud spend budgets and vendor relations.
• Track engineering productivity and reliability metrics and ensure compliance.
• Evaluate and integrate AI/ML tools and cloud-native services into delivery lifecycle.
