Ideal candidates have 2+ years in HR with leadership experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong English communication. The role emphasizes development, training, safety, and process improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Two or more years progressively responsible experience in human resources with emphasis on employment, employee relations, and/or benefits.
• Demonstrated one year of leadership experience including knowledge of timekeeping requirements, policy adherence, conflict resolution and the ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively; experience supervising employees preferred.
• Must communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written; multilingual abilities preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
• Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook; familiarity with Workday preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day activities in the Human Resources department to ensure work is completed in compliance with company policies and procedures and all Federal, State and local legal requirements.
• Counsel and guide managers on performance management, assist with corrective action memos and documentation; attend or conduct corrective action sessions and follow-up as necessary.
• Advise managers and supervisors on state and federal regulations and effective HR practices for employee issues.
• Coordinate recruitment for salaried openings including sourcing, screening, interviewing and offers in Workday; conduct new hire orientation and communicate benefits options.
• Identify employee needs regarding performance problems, training options, and career development; make recommendations.
• Provide HR-related training on performance counseling and employee relations issues.
• Research employee complaints and grievances; take appropriate action for resolution as required.
• Gather and compile data, create reports (e.g., CERP, Retention), and communicate findings timely.
• Administer NOCTI program including testing, scoring, promotions and pay increases based on passing levels.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement to streamline workflows and increase efficiency.
• Mentor and coach employees, encourage development, provide feedback on strengths and areas for improvement.
• Support safety initiatives and ensure PPE usage where required.
