Job summary

Central Contra Costa Sanitary District is seeking an experienced Human Resources Supervisor to lead the HR workgroup, overseeing three HR Analysts and two Administrative Services Assistants. The role covers labor relations, benefits, payroll, recruitment and compensation.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive labor relations experience, strong leadership, and the ability to develop policies and guide management on performance issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, psychology, business or public administration or related field.
• 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in HR administration.
• At least 2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
• 4 additional years of qualifying experience may substitute for the degree.

Responsibilities

• Oversee labor/employee relations, including MOUs and grievance processes.
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
• Improve efficiency of HR programs and monitor workload.
• Conduct organizational studies and present findings to management.
• Guide management on performance issues and disciplinary actions.
• Oversee benefits programs, COBRA, and leave administration.
• Oversee classification and compensation programs and analyses.
