Central Contra Costa Sanitary District is seeking an experienced Human Resources Supervisor to lead the HR workgroup, overseeing three HR Analysts and two Administrative Services Assistants. The role covers labor relations, benefits, payroll, recruitment and compensation.

Central San, a forward-thinking public utility, is seeking an experienced human resources practitioner to fill a newly created Human Resources Supervisor position. The Human Resources Supervisor will supervise the Human Resources workgroup, including three Human Resources Analyst and two Administrative Services Assistant positions. The position will provide leadership and technical oversight to a multi-disciplinary team supervising projects in all areas of Human Resources, including labor relations, benefits administration, payroll, recruitment, and classification and compensation.
The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded HR professional with extensive experience in labor relations. Duties of the position include:
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in human resources, psychology, business or public administration, or a related field.
Experience: Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in human resources administration or related programs, including at least two (2) years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
Substitution: Four (4) years of additional qualifying experience as noted above may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.

The most qualified candidates will be invited to participate in the examination process. Human Resources shall determine the examination steps to be used for this recruitment. The steps may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, practical examination, application screening, and/or oral board examination. One or more of these steps may be used and in any order. At the end of the testing process, candidates passing all of the examination steps will have their names placed on an eligibility list. The list is valid for six months and may be extended up to an additional six months at the request of the hiring department. The list may be used to fill future vacancies in this classification.
Applicants meeting the minimum qualifications are not guaranteed advancement to the examination process. All applicants will be notified of the results of the review process.
Successful candidates not currently employed in regular status by the District must pass a pre-employment physical examination to be considered for appointment.
