Job summary

The State of Nevada, Governors Finance Office, CORE.NV ERP project team, seeks an HR professional to oversee project functions within the HR work stream, defining requirements and scope, coordinating with project managers and stakeholders, and implementing strategic solutions that align with state policies.

Incumbents direct HR staff, advise management on complex employee issues, prepare and manage operating budgets, and develop centralized HR policies.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four year college or university in personnel management, business administration, public administration or related area and three years of progressively responsible professional personnel management experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• IT project implementation expedience required.

Responsibilities

• Direct the work of professional and support staff in safety, payroll, recruitment and selection, training, and employee relations.
• Advise department management on complex employee issues requiring in-depth knowledge of HR practices, laws, and regulations.
• Prepare, justify, and manage operating budgets.
• Create, modify, and implement departmental HR policies and procedures, and implement centralized HR policies.
• Investigate employee grievances and advise management on conflict resolution.
• Perform related work as required.
