Job summary

State-of-Nevad is seeking an HR Officer within the Governors Finance Office under the CORE.NV ERP project team. The role manages HR functions, oversees staff, and ensures alignment with Nevada state policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited four year college or university in personnel management, business administration, public administration or related area and three years of progressively responsible professional personnel management experience.
Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and administer a comprehensive HR services program including employee relations, selection, classification coordination, position control, evaluation, training, payroll, and related areas.
Supervise the work of HR staff.
Advise department management on complex employee issues requiring knowledge of HR practices, laws, and regulations.
Prepare, justify, and manage operating budgets.
Create, modify, and implement departmental HR policies and procedures.
Investigate employee grievances and advise management on conflict resolution.
Direct the work of professional and support staff in safety, payroll, recruitment, training, and employee relations.
