Jobtailor in the United States is seeking a seasoned HR Project Manager to lead strategic HR initiatives from planning through post-implementation. You will coordinate with HR leaders, Centers of Excellence, HR Business Partners, and vendors to define objectives, scope, and delivery plans.

You will drive execution across multiple workstreams, manage risks, and ensure adoption and measurable benefits. Strong communication and stakeholder management are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience leading medium to large-scale HR projects and system implementations.
  • Experience leading cross-functional programs across stakeholders, teams and workstreams.
  • Experience delivering HR-related projects such as process improvements, HR technology implementations, regulatory initiatives, or employee experience programs.
  • Strong project management skills including planning, resource management, risk management, issue resolution, change control, and stakeholder communications.
  • Proven ability to influence without authority, drive accountability, and lead teams through ambiguity to achieve objectives.
  • Experience partnering with business leaders, technology teams, and external vendors to deliver outcomes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution of strategic HR initiatives from planning through post-implementation.
  • Partner with HR leaders, Centers of Excellence, HR Business Partners, HR Operations, and vendors to define objectives and delivery plans.
  • Drive execution across multiple workstreams and manage dependencies and risks.
  • Facilitate meetings, sessions, and forums; hold stakeholders accountable for commitments and actions.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and status reporting.
  • Lead HR technology implementations and organizational effectiveness programs.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve objectives and business outcomes.
  • Communicate progress, risks, decisions, dependencies, and escalations to sponsors and stakeholders.

Job description

  • Lead end-to-end execution of strategic Human Resources initiatives, including planning, stakeholder alignment, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support
  • Partner with HR leaders, Centers of Excellence, HR Business Partners, HR Operations, Technology teams, and vendors to define objectives, scope, success measures, and delivery plans
  • Drive execution across multiple workstreams, manage dependencies, and proactively address risks
  • Facilitate project meetings, working sessions, and decision-making forums; hold stakeholders accountable for commitments and action items
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, resource needs, and status reporting
  • Lead HR technology implementations, operating model changes, organizational effectiveness programs, process improvements, regulatory projects, and employee experience improvements
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and resources to achieve project objectives and business outcomes
  • Manage communications with sponsors and stakeholders regarding progress, risks, decisions, dependencies, and escalations
  • Identify change impacts and support organizational readiness, adoption, training, and communications
  • Monitor project financials, scope changes, risks, issues, assumptions, and key decisions
  • Establish and track project success metrics and ensure benefits are realized after implementation
  • Improve HR Project Office processes, project team experiences, and delivery effectiveness
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5-7 years of experience leading medium to large-scale projects and system implementations from planning through implementation, preferably within Human Resources, HR Operations, or HR Technology functions
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional programs and driving execution across multiple stakeholders, teams, and workstreams
  • Experience delivering HR-related projects such as process improvements, operating model changes, organizational initiatives, HR technology implementations, regulatory/compliance initiatives, or employee experience programs
  • Strong project management skills, including project planning, resource management, risk management, issue resolution, change control, and stakeholder communications
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority, drive accountability, and lead teams through ambiguity to achieve project objectives
  • Experience partnering with business leaders, technology teams, and external vendors to successfully deliver business outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into executable project plans and drive initiatives through completion
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation, presentation, and executive-level communication
  • Experience using project management methodologies and tools to manage project lifecycle activities
  • Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver projects on schedule
  • Preferred: experience in HR functions including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Compensation, Benefits, Learning & Development, Workforce Planning, Employee Experience, or HR Operations
  • Preferred: experience with Workday, ServiceNow HRSD, Cornerstone, Paradox, or similar platforms
  • Preferred: experience leading HR transformation, M&A/organizational change, or business process improvement initiatives
  • Preferred: experience within financial services, insurance, wealth management, or highly regulated industries
  • Preferred: PMP, Agile, Prosci, or other project/change management certifications
  • Must have valid work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States
