Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced HR leader to serve as a trusted advisor to the NAPA People team. The role will implement high-impact initiatives across multiple locations and apply analytics to improve critical business outcomes.

This position requires leading talent planning, organizational design consultation, and change management while coaching leadership on complex employee relations and ensuring compliance. Onsite work is required in a fast-growing corporate environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and 7-10 years of HR process implementation in a high-growth environment.
  • 3-5+ years of proven ability to lead teams and drive results without direct reporting authority.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting multiple locations to drive HR operational success.
  • Experience delivering Talent Acquisition, Talent Planning, Onboarding, Learning & Development, Engagement, Performance, Compensation, and Compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead talent planning, management, and strategic workforce design.
  • Conduct supply and demand analysis for staffing and skills needs.
  • Design talent acquisition strategies with Talent Acquisition partners.
  • Lead annual HR cycle deliverables like performance management and benefits enrollment.
  • Partner with Payroll, HRIS, Compensation, and Benefits to provide client solutions.
  • Develop organizational capacity through high-potential identification and development.
  • Maintain high-quality HR operations across all sites within the area.

Job description

  • Serve as a trusted HR advisor and leader for the NAPA People (HR) team
  • Implement high-impact people initiatives supporting multiple locations
  • Apply people and talent analytics to improve critical business outcomes
  • Partner with leadership to align HR strategy with business strategy
  • Act as a change agent through process design and transformation initiatives
  • Analyze trends and metrics to develop HR solutions, programs, and policies
  • Coach leadership on employee relations issues and policy interpretation and application
  • Lead talent planning, talent management, strategic workforce planning, and organizational design consultation
  • Conduct supply and demand analysis for current and future staffing and skill needs
  • Design talent acquisition strategies and partner with Talent Acquisition to monitor staffing needs
  • Remain current on recruiting trends and innovative recruiting techniques
  • Lead or support annual HR cycle deliverables, including performance management, merit and bonus awards, and benefits enrollment
  • Evaluate issues, patterns, and trends to provide proactive insights for HR solution and program design
  • Partner with Payroll, HRIS, Compensation, and Benefits functions to provide client solutions
  • Develop organizational capacity through high-potential identification and development programming
  • Implement excellent HR operations across all sites within the designated area
  • Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
  • High school diploma and 7-10 years of experience implementing HR processes in a high-growth environment
  • 3-5+ years of proven ability to lead teams and drive results without direct reporting authority
  • Solid foundation and knowledge of HR principles and practices, including employment law and compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting multiple locations to drive HR operational success
  • Experience delivering talent acquisition, talent planning, onboarding, learning and development, employee engagement, performance management, compensation, and compliance functions
  • Client management and business literacy skills
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to coach employees and management through complex and difficult issues
  • Experience with payroll, compliance, benefits administration, and unemployment claims processing
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
  • Tenured experience with HRIS systems, reporting, and analytics tools
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment, set high personal goals, and work independently
  • Ability to organize, multitask, and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, internet, and database management
  • Ability to work onsite four or more days a week
  • Ability to work extended hours when project demands
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience and 5+ years’ proven ability to lead teams and drive results without direct reporting authority preferred
  • SHRM or HRCI certification (SHRM-SCP or SPHR) a plus
  • Workday and Kronos experience preferred
  • Experience supporting a corporate business environment preferred
