Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced HR Technology Architect to lead complex HR technology initiatives and drive scalable, integrated solutions across enterprise systems. You will partner with product and business teams to shape roadmaps, evaluate AI capabilities, and ensure data integrity across Workday, LMS, and ServiceNow environments.

The role requires strong autonomy, excellent communication, and a proven track record in leading large transformations and system integrations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience supporting HR technology systems or similar platforms.
  • Experience configuring and supporting multiple functions within enterprise HR systems such as Workday, LMS platforms, ServiceNow, or similar technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a lead subject matter expert, establishing technical standards, influencing technology decisions, and leading highly complex system implementations, integrations, or transformation initiatives.
  • Understanding HR system concepts including AI capabilities and their application within HR systems.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Expert knowledge of HR systems, data structures, and business processes.
  • Ability to analyze highly complex problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with broad autonomy, set technical direction, and lead highly complex priorities with limited guidance.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across teams and stakeholders through clear, professional communication.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and lead HR technology solutions across functional domains.
  • Partner with Product Management to influence roadmaps and scalable solutions.

  • Lead enterprise HR technology initiatives and major transformations.

  • Plan updates, testing, releases, and deployments with validation.
  • Create system documentation standards for processes, config, and procedures.
  • Lead data integrity audits and ongoing monitoring of system performance.
  • Mentor HR System Administrators and Analysts with technical direction.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and other teams for integrated systems.
  • Contribute to implementations, optimizations, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and troubleshoot system integrations and provide guidance on architecture decisions.

Job description

  • Establish configuration standards and independently architect highly complex HR technology solutions across multiple functional domains
  • Partner with Product Management to influence product roadmaps, evaluate future system capabilities, and recommend scalable technology solutions and investments
  • Analyze and lead evaluation of emerging AI capabilities and HR technology trends within HR technology systems
  • Lead the design and support of complex system enhancements, integrations, workflow design, and process automation
  • Serve as technical lead for enterprise HR technology initiatives, major implementations, and complex transformation efforts
  • Resolve complex cross‑functional and enterprise‑wide system issues; lead root cause analysis and establish sustainable solutions
  • Establish and execute system updates, testing strategies, releases, and upgrades, including validation and deployment activities
  • Establish and design system documentation standards, including business processes, configuration details, and user procedures
  • Lead data integrity by developing audits, validation processes, and ongoing monitoring of system performance
  • Serve as the highest‑level functional escalation point and provide expert consultation, technical direction, and mentoring to HR System Administrators and Analysts
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and other business teams to ensure systems are integrated and operating effectively
  • Contribute to HR technology implementations, optimization efforts, and continuous improvement strategies
  • Build and troubleshoot system integrations
  • Provide authoritative guidance on HR system capabilities, architecture decisions, solution design, and cross‑functional impacts
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience supporting HR technology systems or similar platforms
  • Experience configuring and supporting multiple functions within enterprise HR systems such as Workday, LMS platforms, ServiceNow, or similar technologies
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a lead subject matter expert, establishing technical standards, influencing technology decisions, and leading highly complex system implementations, integrations, or transformation initiatives
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, analytics or related field OR 3 combined years of progressive equivalent experience relevant to functional area
  • Understanding of HR system and technology concepts, including AI capabilities and their application within HR systems
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Expert knowledge of HR systems, data structures, and business processes
  • Ability to analyze highly complex problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with broad autonomy, set technical direction, and lead highly complex priorities with limited guidance
  • Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to collaborate and influence across teams and influence stakeholders through clear, professional communication
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences
  • Experience supporting projects, system enhancements, or implementations with moderate complexity
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
