Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area.
  • 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience managing HR operations, employee lifecycle process, compliance, reporting, and workforce administration.
  • Experience partnering with HR Business Partners, business leaders and HR Center of Excellence.
  • Understanding HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, orientation, recruitment, leave of absence, Workers Compensation, HRIS, payroll, benefits and other HR administrative processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; strong Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and charts.
  • Experience using Co-Pilot preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable with public speaking and presentations.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential data and situations with tact and professionalism.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current federal/state regulations related to employment; California employment law required.
  • Experience creating, facilitating, presenting and leading performance management processes including goal setting, coaching, feedback, calibration and employee/manager meetings.
  • Solid understanding and user knowledge of HRIS, applicant tracking and employee development systems.
  • Proficient with ADP or ability to quickly learn HRIS, payroll and similar employee management software.
  • Understanding of Cornerstone or other performance management and development programs and practices.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment law.
  • Ability to speak and read English.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees and leaders at all organizational levels.
  • May be required to travel.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily HR Operations, including team workflow, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent service delivery.

  • Manage employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, employee changes, leaves of absence, workers’ compensation, payroll coordination, and separations.
  • Build and nurture cross-functional relationships with employees, HRBPs, and business leaders.
  • Oversee the FLBIHR mailbox and ensure timely inquiry distribution and responsive support.
  • Maintain compliant personnel-file practices and protect employee information.
  • Produce responses to audits and requests for reports, data, and employee records.
  • Produce regular HR data and metrics to support profitable growth, engagement, and retention.
  • Provide HR Operations staff support and absence coverage.
  • Share local intelligence and field perspective on HR programs and initiatives.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on HR compliance and regulatory needs.
  • Own performance management tools and reporting.
  • Support engagement initiatives with data and reporting.
  • Partner with managers and HRBPs on staffing and retention needs.
  • Maintain job descriptions in the document control system.
  • Support HRBPs on restructures with process-compliance input.
  • Maintain HR policies and update the document control system and intranet.
  • Assist with employee-relations investigations as needed.
  • Support employee recognition programs.
  • Update the HR space on the employee intranet.
  • Champion company culture and model company standards.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Provide administrative support for talent development as needed
