Job summary

Sauer Southeast is seeking an HR/Payroll Administrator in Jacksonville, FL. The role focuses on onboarding, payroll processing, and a wide range of HR functions to keep processes accurate, efficient, and responsive to employees.

The successful candidate will manage confidential information with discretion, build strong relationships, and balance multiple priorities while delivering exceptional service to staff and managers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred in HR/Business Admin/Accounting/Finance or related field.
• 2–5 years payroll, HR administration or related experience.
• Experience with payroll processing and employee records maintenance.
• Multi-state and/or union payroll experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new hire onboarding and ensure documentation is complete.
• Enter and maintain employee data in HR, payroll, benefits systems.
• Process status changes, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
• Maintain personnel records and electronic files.
• Assist employees with HR and payroll questions.
• Support benefit enrollments and open enrollment activities.
• Assist with verifications, audits, reporting, and compliance tasks.
• Provide admin support for HR projects and training programs.
• Perform other payroll and HR duties as assigned.
• Process weekly and semi-monthly payrolls accurately and on time.
• Audit timecards, payroll records, deductions, and data for accuracy.
• Enter payroll information including tax elections and direct deposits.
