Job summary

Capital Vacations is seeking an experienced HR/Payroll Manager to oversee day-to-day operations for our Sales & Marketing teams across 13 sites. You’ll ensure accurate payroll processing, maintain HRIS records, and uphold employment policies and confidentiality.

In this role you’ll supervise the HR/Payroll Generalist, run reports, support onboarding, conduct investigations, and partner with managers to resolve employee relations issues. Regular hours apply, with travel to other sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources or related field.
• Strong Excel skills for data entry and reporting.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding HIPAA and personnel information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel to other out-of-state Sales sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assign tasks to the HR/Payroll Generalist.
• Run reports, manage filing, and handle data entry for commission payroll systems.
• Review and verify employee timecards, and process payroll-related data for submission to our payroll provider.
• Partner with Hiring Managers and Recruiting during onboarding processes.
• Support new hires by establishing personnel files and leading new hire orientations.
• Perform data entry for new and existing employees — including personnel information, time clock assignments, timecard edits, manager access, and timesheet maintenance.
• Conduct workplace investigations related to employee relations, policy violations, attendance, and other HR matters; document findings and prepare investigation reports for management
• Respond to employment information requests from authorized personnel while safeguarding confidentiality
• Support employee relations efforts and provide counseling as needed
• Maintain HRIS records and ensure compliance with federal and state employment regulations
• Recommend and create HR processes and protocols to find and maintain efficiencies and clarity
• Serve as primary HR contact for front-line leaders and employees to answer questions and resolve employee relations issues
• Provide general administrative support across HR projects and initiatives
• Take on other duties as assigned
