Job summary

Spartanburg Community College is seeking a Human Resources professional to coordinate the College’s temporary employment process, maintain accurate HRIS data in Colleague, and assist with onboarding and benefits enrollment for temporary employees.

The role includes handling classifications, transactions, and offboarding, while ensuring compliance with state and federal rules. Evening/weekend hours and occasional travel to other campuses may be required.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and clerical or administrative experience. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in related area or a minimum of 3 years HR experience. SHRM / HRCI Certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the College’s temporary employment process, including classification, transactions in Colleague, offboarding, and employee files.
• Manage or assist with HR projects and reporting as needed.
• Process HRIS data entry for employee transactions into Colleague, ensure accuracy of information.
• Assist with new employee orientation for temporary employees, including policies, I-9, payroll forms, and benefits enrollment.
• Serve as backup for other HR staff and handle information requests and customer service.
• Leverage technology to ensure efficient processing of HR actions (DocuSign, Dynamic Forms).
