Job summary

University of South Carolina Beaufort invites applications for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our growing HR team. This role supports recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and employee relations while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with university policies.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will manage job postings, background checks, I-9 processing, and orientation programs, coordinating across departments to maintain timely and accurate HR processes.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job-related field and 1+ years of related experience.
• Knowledge of classification, recruitment processes, payroll and time keeping preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment and hiring using PeopleAdmin applicant tracking system.
• Generate job postings, offers, and manage TFAC recruitment workflows.
• Guide managers and departments through hiring timelines and procedures.
• Assist with pre-employment activities including background checks and I-9s.
• Coordinate onboarding and new employee processing; support orientation programs.
