Job summary

Savannah Technical College seeks a detail-oriented Human Resources Specialist to support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and compliance functions. The role provides guidance on HR policies and processes while ensuring state and federal compliance.

The position handles personnel records, leave management, reporting, and confidentiality in a college environment. A related HR diploma and 1 year of experience are required.

Qualifications

• HR diploma from an accredited college or technical school and 1 year of HR experience.
• Experience with FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and leave programs is preferred.
• Experience using HRIS systems such as Workday or GA@WORK.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment activities: postings, screening, interviews, and pre-employment.
• Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new employees.
• Process personnel actions and maintain records in HRIS.
• Assist with benefits enrollment and employee inquiries.
• Support employee relations, performance management, and compliance reporting.
