Job summary

Mashreq in New York seeks a diligent HR Generalist to manage onboarding, offboarding, payroll, and compliance. You will welcome new hires, maintain accurate records, coordinate background checks, and support benefits administration.

The role requires strong communication and knowledge of NY labor regulations. You will work closely with the HR team to resolve employee issues, support training, and contribute to engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NY Labor laws and regulations
• Experience with onboarding and offboarding processes
• Proficient in handling payroll and benefits administration
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain accurate HR records and compliance with NY Shield Act

Responsibilities

• Conduct onboarding and offboarding in compliance with NY Labor laws and SOPs
• Welcome new hires and manage engagement throughout onboarding
• Maintain staff databases and personnel files
• Coordinate background checks and OFAC checks per regulatory requirements
• Manage training records and liaise with external training providers
• Resolve HR-related issues and advise management on solutions
• Coordinate interviews and staffing needs with senior HR teams
• Assist with salary processing and benefits administration including 401(k)
• Assist with renewal of health and dental insurance
• Maintain compliance with records and respond to employee inquiries
• Support Employee Engagement initiatives and PICG team in HR activities
