Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and 5–10 years of progressive leadership experience in HR roles.
• Specialized training in employment law, compensation, employee relations, safety, and training is preferred.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Direct employment activities to recruit and hire properly qualified employees in a timely manner.
• Ensure policies and programs are understood and administered consistently and communicated to all employees.
• Oversee HR programs; monitor welfare plans including pension, life insurance, and health care; ensure accurate documentation.
• Administer wage and salary administration and performance appraisal programs; review wage ranges annually for equity.
• Oversee payroll administration on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
• Review and approve management recommendations for terminations.
• Maintain records and reports necessary for HR functions.
• Keep executives informed of significant problems affecting goals and line management.
