Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in HR or related field and 5 to 10 years of progressive leadership experience in HR positions.
• Specialized training in employment law, compensation, employee relations, safety, and training preferred.
• Must be able to deal effectively with people at all levels of the organization
• Must be able to communicate clearly orally and in writing
• Must maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Must have strong flexibility and time management skills
• Must be able to effectively manage multiple projects and problems together with the detail that goes along with the issues
• Must have excellent organizational skills
• Must be familiar with Microsoft Applications - Word, Excel, Outlook, and PPT
• Must be able to exercise influence in the management decision-making process as it affects areas of Human Resources responsibility
• Direct supervision of all Human Resources/Payroll staff and other department personnel as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Direct employment activities, assuring properly qualified employees are recruited and hired in a timely manner.
• Ensures that policies and programs are understood and administered consistently; communicates to all employees.
• Oversee HR programs through HR staff; monitor welfare plans, ensuring accuracy and required documentation.
• Administer wage and salary administration and employee performance appraisal programs; review salary ranges annually.
• Oversee payroll processing on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
• Review and approve management recommendations for employment terminations.
• Prepare and maintain records and reports for HR functions.
• Inform executives of significant problems impacting company goals.
