Job summary

WV Department of Human Services in West Virginia seeks an HR Operations Specialist to support the Bureau for Child Support Enforcement statewide. You will process HR transactions in OASIS for hires, resignations, retirements, and leaves, review job postings, and interpret personnel policies.

You will lead employees with UKG Pro, audit timecards each pay period, and work with payroll, benefits and other HR units. State Office Diamond Building, promotional opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Substitution allows related experience in HR, payroll, bookkeeping or accounting for the required education.
• Promotional Only: two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid HR Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide statewide support for BCSE employees and process HR transactions in OASIS for hires, resignations, retirements, leaves, and related actions.
• Review and approve job postings and staffing requests; review position description forms and interpret personnel policies.
• Lead employees with UKG Pro and audit timecards each pay period; coordinate corrections with HR staff.
• Assist with off-payroll, separations, and provide training and guidance to managers.
• Serve as HR liaison with payroll, benefits, workers' compensation, FMLA, donated leave, HR management, Division of Personnel, and other offices.
• Preference given to candidates with OASIS experience; position located at the State Office in the Diamond Building.
