Job summary

Sun and Ski Sports is looking for an Human Resource Assistant who will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s Human Resources department. This part-time role in Stafford, TX requires a bachelor’s degree preferred, HR or office management experience, and proficiency with ADP Workforce Now, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred.
• At least one year HR or Office Management experience preferred.
• Prior experience with ADP Workforce Now required.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Knowledge of HR principles and local regulations.
• Multi-task and prioritize in a fast-growth environment.
• MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment by performing background checks and drug screenings.
• Process new hires and rehires into the HRIS and onboard timely.
• Create and maintain confidential digital employee files.
• Provide clerical support to the HR department.
• Maintain confidentiality of HR files and records.
• Audit HR files to ensure all documents are collected.
• Answer questions from new hires about policies, benefits, etc.
• Respond to employment verification requests from agencies.
• Manage employee data and recruitment tracking in ADP Workforce Now.
• Assist with benefits enrollment, meetings, recognition events, and holidays.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
