Job summary

TekniPlex in Van Wert, OH is seeking an HR Assistant to support temporary recruitment, onboarding and employee integration. You will liaise with staffing agencies, new hires and HR to ensure efficient hiring and accurate records.

You will coordinate interviews, conduct new-employee orientation and maintain HR files while upholding confidentiality and compliance. A 1+ year HR background in staffing or related admin roles is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of HR experience in staffing, recruiting, or administrative support.
• Experience working with staffing agencies or onboarding preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing activities and vendor relationships, including open positions, pre-screening, interview scheduling, offers, background checks, drug screens, issue resolution, and conversions.
• Perform recruitment-related tasks, including applicant screening and candidate communications.
• Schedule and coordinate interviews, orientations, and onboarding activities for new hires.
• Conduct New Employee Orientation, reviewing policies, attendance expectations, procedures, and benefits enrollment.
• Serve as the primary contact for new employees during onboarding and integration.
• Provide support and guidance to new employees with onboarding-related questions.
• Track onboarding milestones, training completion, and new hire progress.
• Maintain personnel files, employee records, and HR documentation with confidentiality and compliance.
• Assist employees and supervisors with time and attendance questions and issue resolution.
