Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years related administrative or business experience required; some supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Answers routine and specific inquiries; directs inquiries to appropriate department.
  • Assists in maintaining and monitoring the department budget and grant allocations.
  • Initiates and follows through on HR and payroll transactions; generates weekly payroll submission.
  • Ensures restock of supplies; takes inventory and coordinates with Purchasing for best pricing.
  • Plans and coordinates forums, conferences, meetings, and visiting professorships; prepares packets and transcribes notes.
  • Develops and revises informational materials and mailings.
  • Compiles data for reports and prepares statistical analyses.
  • Verifies data submitted for supervisors; ensures all data and authorizations are included.
  • Mentors and trains new office staff; coordinates coverage and assigns work.
