Job summary

YMCA of the USA is seeking an experienced human resources leader to guide people strategy across multiple sites in Indiana. This role combines strategic HR expertise with hands-on employee relations, shaping culture and resolving concerns in real time.

You will influence leaders, conduct investigations, manage performance processes, and coach executives while upholding employment laws and HR best practices in a mission-driven nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent in HR, business, organizational leadership, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive HR experience with strong employee relations focus preferred.
• Experience with investigations, performance management, and leader coaching.
• Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to handle confidential matters.
• Ability to influence leaders and provide direct, respectful feedback.
• Working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
