YMCA of Greater Cleveland is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to lead day-to-day HR activities for assigned departments. You will handle employee relations, policy interpretation, regulatory compliance, recruitment, investigations, performance management and safety support in alignment with the association’s mission.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field, at least five years of HR generalist experience, and professional HR certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years HR generalist experience including employee relations, compliance, counseling, recruitment, performance management, policy interpretation and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with leadership and employees; provide confidential guidance on HR matters.
• Coach leadership on employee relations, policy interpretation and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee orientation, onboarding and Dayforce training for new hires.
• Conduct investigations and maintain accurate records.
• Support development of HR policies and procedures; communicate updates.
• Oversee performance management processes for assigned departments.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment and new hire onboarding; ensure legal compliance.
• Support safety training and safety policy implementation.
• Track leadership development programs and measure outcomes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency.
