Job summary

Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking a Manager to lead day-to-day human resources, faculty affairs and payroll operations in New York City. Reporting to senior HR leadership, this role will also guide staff, streamline recruitment processes and oversee onboarding and visa support for international hires.

The position requires the ability to manage multiple HR disciplines within a complex medical education and research environment, with 35 hours per week and regular, on-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day HR, faculty affairs and payroll functions.
• Lead the HR team and staff management.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding and visa processing for international hires.
• Process payroll changes and salary adjustments, including PSRC requests.
• Ensure compliance with I-9, HIPAA training and other mandatory policies.
• Train and supervise HR/FA Generalists and coordinate with department admins.
