Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking a Senior Generalist, Human Resources to perform complex HR duties across employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and immigration support. You will coordinate onboarding with multiple internal partners and provide guidance throughout the employee lifecycle.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant HR experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with HR systems such as PeopleSoft, TLAM and JIRA.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsabilidades

• Recruit staff by posting positions, coordinating interviews, and processing pre-hire checks.
• Own onboarding activities for staff, faculty, and researchers.
• Oversee payroll processing and HR data updates in HRIS systems.
• Ensure visa and immigration compliance with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage faculty appointments, reappointments, and credentialing with Medical Staff Office.
• Maintain HR records and support HR projects across the organization.
• Conduct exit processes and advise on improvements.
• Respond to employee relations issues and adhere to labor contracts.
