Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Manufacturing or production HR experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field.
• Working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
• Experience with payroll, benefits, FMLA, accommodations, and HRIS.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR resource for approximately 150 employees.
• Work with CEO and leadership on HR strategy and employee needs.

• Coach supervisors and managers on employee relations, performance, communication, and policies.

• Administer HRIS and payroll for hourly production and temporary employees.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee matters.

Human Resources Manager

Are you an experienced HR Generalist ready to take the next step into HR leadership?

We are recruiting for a Human Resources Manager to join a successful, family-owned company with approximately 150 employees and an excellent work environment.

This is a hands-on, highly visible HR position for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people. The HR Manager will work directly with the CEO, VP, VP of Operations, supervisors, and leadership team while also being a trusted and approachable resource for employees.

We are looking for someone who can help drive company culture, employee engagement, morale, retention, and professional development while ensuring HR policies and practices remain compliant.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the primary HR resource for approximately 150 employees
• Work closely with the CEO and leadership team on HR strategy and employee needs
• Help promote a positive, respectful, employee-focused company culture
• Build relationships with employees and maintain a visible presence throughout the organization
• Coach supervisors and managers on employee relations, performance, communication, FMLA, accommodations, and company policies
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
• Manage FMLA, COBRA, accommodations, benefits eligibility, STD and LTD
• Assist with benefits and 401(k) administration
• Administer HRIS and payroll for hourly production and temporary employees
• Manage employee timekeeping, new hires, terminations, and employee records
• Paylocity experience is a plus
• Support workforce planning and proactive recruiting efforts
• Assist with annual compensation reviews and hourly wage programs
• Review and update job descriptions
• Identify opportunities to improve the employee lifecycle and increase retention
• Partner with leadership on succession planning, training, and employee development
• Conduct and coordinate supervisor training covering safety, company policies, harassment prevention, ethics, teamwork, and employee relations
• Help identify and address HR issues that could create legal or financial risk
• Support safety, environmental health, benefits, and workplace security initiatives
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee matters with professionalism and good judgment

What We're Looking For

• 5-7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
• Current HR Manager experience OR a strong HR Generalist ready to advance into an HR Manager role
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
• Manufacturing or production HR experience strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
• Experience with employee relations, benefits, FMLA, accommodations, payroll, and HRIS
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Approachable, compassionate, and comfortable working with employees at all levels
• Ability to coach managers while also being a trusted resource for employees
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality
