Job summary

OSTTRA Group seeks an experienced HR Legal Professional to coordinate and monitor all legal information within the HR Department. You will prepare legal documents, perform research, and communicate with attorneys and officials regarding EEOC actions and regulatory compliance.

You will track and manage HR legal matters, coordinate with Territorial HQ Legal, and provide training on incident documentation and proper file maintenance within a structured office setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies or related degree with a paralegal certificate and 5–7 years experience in an office setting, preferably law, with at least two years of management.
• OR any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Acts as first point of contact and liaison among attorneys, professionals, and Corps officers for processing legal documents and information exchange.
• Supervises processing of documents from attorneys, ensuring deadlines are met, filed timely, and archived.
• Receives, reviews, logs, tracks, and coordinates employment-related legal matters including EEOC charges, lawsuits, subpoenas, and notices.
• Maintains a comprehensive HR legal case-management system identifying matter status, counsel, actions, deadlines, and disposition.
• Coordinates administrative support for EEOC and other agency complaints; gathers documentation, prepares chronologies, and schedules interviews.
• Prepares HR legal requisitions and serves as point of contact for follow-up with Territorial HQ Legal; monitors matters to completion.
• Provides legal training and management training on incident reporting, documentation, communication, and file maintenance.
• Understands progression of employment-related legal proceedings to prioritize documents, escalate when needed, and communicate with counsel.
